Dive Course
At Alpha Dive Centre, we teach to international standards focusing on safety, communication, and confidence in the water. Our goal is to help you become a competent and responsible Open Water Dive.
Our courses are designed for your convenience. Study the academic portion at your own pace, when it suits your schedule. Online learning only.
You’ll gain the skills to plan and execute safe, enjoyable dives up to 18 meters. Core training includes the following Pool Skills:
- Equipment assembly & checks
- Buoyancy control & descent techniques
- Mask clearing & regulator recovery
- Emergency procedures
- Gear removal (surface & underwater)
- Basic snorkelling skills
- Gear care and maintenance
- Debriefing and record keeping

Complete your online theory and knowledge reviews before attending your in-store session.
We recommend starting early to ensure you’re fully prepared.

We’ll review key theory topics, answer any questions, and complete a written exam. A gear familiarization and kit-up session will follow.
2×100 minutes each.
Scheduled at the start of your course typically on a weekend.
This session covers all fundamental scuba skills in a controlled environment.
Minimum of 2 days
Scheduled after completing the exam and pool assessments. You’ll need to complete at least 4 dives to demonstrate your skills in open water where you’ll apply the skills learned in the pool under real-world conditions. Each dive is fully briefed and supervised by your instructor.
Note: Transport is not included in the course package.
Refresher

Kiddies
introduction to
Scuba party
Breathe underwater and experience the joy and weightlessness of scuba with our 2 hour experience for a small group of kiddies who wish to celebrate a birthday like no other!
Ages 10 – 12 years
• Group size of 5 – 8 children
• We explain and demonstrate the basics of
diving and dive safety.
• we hit the water for fun, games and photos!
• For local party venues only.
• We can recommend some possible indoor
pool venues for your event.
• (Strand SPUR directly opposite for hungry little
divers afterwards or bring your party picnic
along)
An underwater camera is provided for the kids to take their own photos! We also take pictures of the little divers underwater while they play at no additional charge. These can be printed or shared on facebook, email etc.
We use smaller scuba cylinders for increased comfort and enjoyment and provide all the necessary equipment, including mask & snorkel.
The party is conducted by a highly qualified diving professional together with a Divemaster for additional supervision and in-water safety. A max of 5 children per dive professional.
